Our mission is to create communities of unconditional love, support, and hope for the homeless, as we work together to prevent and ultimately end homelessness.
We collaborate with community partners, help homeless people access existing resources, and mobilize private donations from families, churches, and organizations to meet unmet needs in homeless services, housing, and education.
Each week, trained volunteers visit on average 194 people living under bridges, in tents, vehicles, and recently off the streets. We build relationships and check in on people, provide food, water, TP, and other necessities, as well as referrals and offers to help people overcome specific obstacles, find housing, and get back on their feet.
Joppa is also developing fundamental solutions to homelessness such as transitional Tiny Home Villages, permanent Cottage Homes, and Joppa KIDS—an education program working to prevent homelessness in future generations.
Joppa does not receive ongoing state or federal funding. But thanks to your continued support, we’ve helped more than 450 homeless individuals and families get off the streets, over 80% of whom remain in housing today.
“In Joppa, there was a disciple named Tabitha, who was always doing good and helping the poor.” – Acts 9:36, NIV
