The first day of winter and the longest night of the year.
Join us for music, poetry, prayer and a moment of silence. Iowa Gov. Kim Reynolds will read a proclamation, and we’ll read the names of the deceased.
We will come together to honor those who died homeless as human beings and fellow citizens. In remembering people who have died on the streets, we are recommitting ourselves to ending homelessness and preventing such deaths in the future.
This is an outdoor event—dress warmly. Masks will be required at all times, and attendees must remain socially distanced (people from the same household may group together).
