Because of friends like you, 117 people were lifted off the streets in 2025, bringing the year-end total to 801 people since 2008. Even more encouraging, 84% have remained off the streets. Behind those numbers are real people, real stories and real hope.

And already in 2026, Joppa has helped lift 50 more people off the streets.

This report reflects more than activity. It reflects relationships being built, lives being changed and a community coming together to help end homelessness. Our Homeless Resource Center, Outreach, Aftercare and expanded Client Advocacy work all continued to grow and gain momentum. Thriftmart was voted Best Thrift Store in Des Moines and continues to exceed projections as a scalable source of mission support. At the same time, we moved Joppa Village closer to reality, preparing to begin construction this summer.
