Thank you for your interest in becoming a Joppa Prayer Partner. At Joppa, we believe in the power of prayer and in God’s desire to hear our petitions. We know that all our plans for Joppa are void without God’s blessing. That’s why we are calling on Joppa supporters to pray for the needs of this ministry.

By the end of 2025, our goal is to have 250 Prayer Partners dedicated to praying regularly for the needs of Joppa and the people we serve. We will email specific requests twice monthly for your prayer time. And we will share with you how God has answered our prayers so that your time of prayer can include the gratitude we all share when He moves.

Can you imagine what will happen when 1,000 people are praying for Joppa
and those experiencing homelessness in Des Moines?

1. Can you see our volunteers, every week, feeling God’s presence as they enter a homeless camp to offer unconditional love and hope, a smile, a hug, and plenty of food and supplies?
2. Can you see the look on the face of a client who is enveloped with God’s love in a real and tangible way when they know someone genuinely cares about them?
3. Can you see someone meeting with a volunteer in the Homeless Resource Center to receive the news of new housing?
4. Can you see a day when the homeless camps are empty because everyone has access to housing?
