Officially OPEN: The Homeless Resource Center

Joppa has officially opened the Homeless Resource Center, which provides a one-stop shop for people experiencing homelessness to find resources, referrals, and hope.

About the Homeless Resource Center:

The Homeless Resource Center offers a first step for people who want to rebuild their lives but don’t know where to begin.

Visitors will find a loving, welcoming environment with the following:

• Public restroom
• Water filling station
• Coffee, food and microwave
• Clothing and shoes/boots
• Hygiene and survival items
• Computer access
• Free phone booth and phone chargers
• Job and housing navigation

A dedicated center manager and trained volunteers will be on hand to address each client’s needs.

Hours of Operation:

Tuesday – Friday, 12:00 – 4:00

Homelessness is increasing during the pandemic—our recent survey found 1 in 3 homeless individuals are first-time homeless. We need the Homeless Resource Center now more than ever to provide help and hope to those in need.
