After more than a decade of prayer, planning and collaboration, Joppa Village is preparing to break ground.
Please join us for this historic groundbreaking ceremony:

Joppa Village property, 2501 Maury Street
This is a defining milestone for Joppa, for our community and, most importantly, for the men and women who have spent far too long without a place to call home.
Joppa Village will provide permanent homes in a supportive community for people experiencing chronic homelessness. It is not a shelter. It is a neighborhood of cottage homes where residents can rent a home they can afford and begin rebuilding their lives with dignity. “Joppa Village is designed for people who would otherwise remain chronically homeless, not simply because they need housing, but because they need community to succeed,” said Joe Stevens, Joppa CEO and Cofounder. “The Village will provide both.”
Each home will include a private bedroom, full bathroom, living area and kitchenette, with monthly rents between $300 and $500, depending on size. There is dignity in paying rent and security in knowing your home is your own.
At full buildout, Joppa Village is designed to grow into a community of more than 200 homes, along with shared spaces that foster belonging, purpose and long-term stability. We are deeply grateful to every donor, volunteer and partner helping bring Joppa Village to life.
